The Seren Academy is a Welsh Government initiative dedicated to helping Wales’s most able learners achieve their full academic potential and support their education pathway into leading universities and industry in the UK, and overseas.

SEREN provides access to specialised courses, workshops, and events that are designed to challenge and inspire these young, bright minds. SEREN Academy Wales also offers guidance and support in university applications, helping students to make informed decisions about their future education and career paths.
Entry requirements are:
Criteria 1 - The learner has achieved 6 A* grades or more and is guaranteed entry into the Seren Network
Criteria 2 - The learner has an exceptional aptitude in a specific field of study e.g. Mathematics AND The learner has achieved a minimum of 5A*/A – (full GCSE’s) and has further potential to apply to competitive UK/Overseas Universities. Criteria 2, we will require a commendation from the school/college.
