Year 11 students celebrate GCSE success with staff and parents

The staff and Governing Body at Dyffryn Taf would like to celebrate the success and hard work of all students receiving results today in GCSE, WBQ, BTEC and other courses.

A great morning was spent in the Sport Hall sharing the success of our year 11 students collecting their GCSE and BTEC results. Teachers and pastoral staff were able to support students to plan their next steps with their well-deserved qualifications. 

We will not be publishing an overview of the school's performance and would like to celebrate the achievements of each individual. Of particular note, however, are the following performances:

  • Evie Day achieved 10 A* grades, 1 A grade and a Distinction in Additional Maths

  • Maximus Clarke achieved 8 A* grades, 3 A grades and a Distinction in Additional Maths

  • Alice Morgan achieved 8 A* grades, 3 A grades and a Merit in Additional Maths

  • Emily Palmer achieved  7 A* grades, 1 A grade. 1 B grade and a Distinction in Additional Maths

  • Lilly- Ella Taylor achieved 7 A* grades, 3 A grades and a Distinction in Additional Maths

  • Menna Walker achieved 7 A* grades and 4 A grades

  • Ollie Ward achieved 7 A* grades, 4 A grades and a Merit in Additional Maths

  • A number of students achieved 7 or more A*-A  grades (combined) including Jacob Allen, Betsy Cole, Llyr Davies, Sarah Farrant, Bethan Gardner, Megan Howells, Sophie Jones, Michael May, Isabelle Morris, Nerys price, Luke Smith and Peter Staak

      

We are extremely proud of the dedication and determination that many of our pupils displayed both in the build up to and during the examination period.  We congratulate them all and look forward to supporting them in the next stage of their education and life. We welcome all those planning to return to our vibrant Sixth Form and offer our best wishes to those choosing to study or work elsewhere.
